The Joy of Completion
Join us this week for a journey of the soul with a message: The Joy of Completion.
Remember to see everything in life as a lesson to be learned and joyfully appreciate small successes.
The Joy of Completion – Today’s message is “The Joy of Completion.” Listen as Rev. Larrye-Marie Heyl, spiritual leader of Center for Spiritual Living Southeast Louisiana, concludes our 2025 series on Wholehearted Living and our December talks on Happiness and Joy. Rev. Larrye invites us to celebrate our accomplishments, to love ourselves through the failures, and to notice how far we have come in 2025. She reminds to acknowledge even the small meaningful events because every step forward deserves recognition. She suggests we learn that there are truly no mistakes, just lessons to be learned – perhaps even what not to do the next time. And she reminds us to be grateful for whatever progress we have made in live because any completion brings the wisdom of knowing ourselves more fully. She quotes these words of Jonathan Parker: “Delay is not denial, and detours are not failures.”Enjoy the music of Gary Lynn Floyd and our own CSL Southeast Louisiana music team.

The Joy of Completion–Meditation Join Rev. Larrye-Marie Heyl and Gary Lynn FLoyd as they move you into a time of centering yourself and dropping into your breath – the sacred rhythm of life flowing in and out of you. As you settle into that place within you where your highest Self exists, Gary sings “Behold” and you are invited to imagine the year behind you as a path you have walked and to contemplate the bright moments, the uncertain moments. The places you paused to rest, and the moments that surprised you. Know you are guided and loved and rest in the sanctuary of your own soul, using this meditation time to feel the joy of completing 2025 and honoring all you walked through.
The Joy of Completion– Reading Listen as Judy Johnson reads the December 30th excerpt from Wholehearted Living – An Enchanted Journey for Your Soul – 365 Days of Inspiration by Christian Sørensen and Katherine Economou entitled A Moment of Appreciation!. The reading reminds us:
“So rarely do we give ourselves credit for our accomplishments, fearing that we will come across as arrogant or boastful. This is not the truth. You have many things to be proud of. You have come a long way from where you started, and today is the day to acknowledge and claim it.”
A quote by Sharon Salzberg sums it up:
“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”
The Joy of Completion– Message Only –Listen as Rev. Larrye-Marie Heyl, spiritual leader of Center for Spiritual Living Southeast Louisiana, concludes our 2025 series on Wholehearted Living and our month of December talks on Happiness and Joy with a message: “The Joy of Completion.” She invites you on a journey to remember to celebrate all that you have walked through in your life and especially in 2025. She reminds you that completion is not about perfection; it is about being present to whatever meaningful is happening. She invites you to remember that everything in life is just about lessons to be learned, so celebrate even the small accomplishments, not waiting for completion to be proud of your journey. She quotes Katherine Economou who said: “Every step forward deserves recognition—because movement itself is holy.”
Imagine how much impact this community can have if we each chose to see all the events of our lives as lessons to be learned and know to celebrate life, not criticize it!
