Inspirational Quotes

Ernest Holmes, our founding father, tells us:
“Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it.”

In Richer Living (1953) Ernest Holmes tells us:

“When we let the love that is within us go out to the God who is in all people and the Divine Presence that is in all things, then we are loving God with all our heart and with all our soul and mind because we are recognizing that the Spirit within us is the same Spirit that we meet in others.”

Ernest Holmes also tells us:
“The radiance of joy in my own heart brings happiness into the lives of all those about me. …
Today is a fresh beginning, a new start, and a joyous adventure on the pathway of eternal progress. Today is bright with hope and happy with fulfillment. Therefore I affirm that this is the day that God has made, that it is good, and that I find fulfillment in it. ”

In Practical Application of Science of Mind, Ernest Holmes spoke these words:
“The well-balanced man can walk with his head in the clouds and still keep his feet solidly planted on the ground. Faith and work are ineffective when separated. (p. 39.2) ”

In Discover a Richer Life, Ernest Holmes tells us:
“Life is not just something to be endured. It is to be lived in joy, in a fullness without limit. (p. 82) ”

In Religious Science (1932) Ernest Holmes tells us:
“We should learn to control our thought processes and bring them into line with Reality. Thought should tend more and more toward an affirmative attitude of mind that is positive and stable, and above all else, toward a real unity with Spirit that already is complete and perfect. (p. 48.4)”

And here is yet another one from page 19.3:

We must say that all thought is creative, according to the nature, impulse, emotion or conviction behind the thought. Thought creates a mold in the subjective in which the idea is accepted and poured and sets power in motion according to the thought. Ignorance of this excuses no one from its effects, for we are dealing with law and not whimsical theory. (p. 19.3)

In Pray and Prosper, Ernest Holmes tells us:
“The Spirit can only give us whtat we take; and since the taking is an act of consciousness, we must be actively aware of the presence of our desire. We must know that the gift is made even before we see it. Consciousness must receive the gift.”

Thich Nhat Hanh says. “We humans have lost the wisdom of genuinely resting and relaxing. We worry too much. We don’t allow our bodies to heal, and we don’t allow our minds and hearts to heal.”

In Religious Science (1932), Ernest Holmes talks about Psalm 23 and states:

“We must instill into the mind the fundamental proposition that good is without bounds;
only good and loving-kindness shall “follow me all the days of my life.”

and in This Thing Called You (1948) Ernest reminds us:

“You rob no person when you discover your own good. You limit no person when you express a greater degree of livingness.
You harm no one by being happy. You steal from no one by being prosperous. You hinder no person’s evolution when you
consciously enter into the kingdom of your good and possess it today.”

In The Power of An Idea, Ernest Holmes talks about cooperation with the Divine, which is a form of priming the pump; he states:

We should come to the realization that the Presence greater than we are is cooperating with us, which It most certainly is, and therefore we must cooperate with It. And our cooperation is so simple: believe in It, trust Its guidance, accept Its expression through us. (p. 14.4)

In Living Without Fear, Ernest Holmes tells us this:

…when we stand in the shadow of the Almighty we shall no longer be blown by the winds of chance. (p. 15)

Ernest Holmes in “RIcher Living” tells us this:
Every heart responds to the warmth of love. Every mind yearns for its embrace and no life is complete without it. Love really is the fulfillment of the Law of Good. Love alone can heal the world and cause people to live together in unity and in peace.
